KBR has been actively involved in the subsea market place from its inception. Through Halliburton Subsea we operate some of the leading subsea installation equipment. Our experience includes the design and supply of solutions involving production manifolds, bundle technology, installation and startup of subsea systems.
Subsea Production Systems
The KBR Subsea Production Systems Group is an experienced provider of conceptual engineering, FEED, project management, engineering, testing and installation services for shallow and deepwater subsea production systems. Our goal is to deliver cost-effective, safe and reliable subsea systems on schedules that beat the industry's best "time to first oil" benchmarks. Subsea systems can be tiebacks to existing infrastructure or part of a floating production system (semi-submersible, tension leg platform or SPAR).
The Subsea Production Systems Group incorporates KBR's offshore pipeline expertise and critical disciplines such as electrical, mechanical and structural engineering. The Subsea group maintains our own proprietary technology development program, as well as participates in the Deepstar program and various client-sponsored development activities.
KBR does not manufacture subsea equipment; rather, we work with equipment vendors on behalf of operators to provide the best technical and economic systems.
Riser solutions and their successful installation are critical to many floating production projects. KBR personnel have the experience, tools and processes to help evaluate, recommend and manage the delivery of solutions from steel catenary risers and tower risers to flexible risers. Through Wellstream, we deliver flexible risers and flowlines.
