KBR has completed more than 40 projects for major fertilizer complexes, including production of ammonia, urea, nitric acid, ammonium nitrate, UAN solution, NPK, triple superphosphate, single super phosphate, di-ammonium phosphate, sulfuric acid, and ammonium sulfate.
The cornerstone of a nitrogen fertilizer complex is the ammonia plant. KBR offers its own process technology for ammonia plants, and we are the leading licensor of ammonia process technology.
KBR has executed 62 urea projects. The plant capacities range from 600 to 2,700 mtpd. Most of the projects use Stamicarbon's urea technology. Stamicarbon is the leading licensor of urea process technology. KBR is the leading provider of Stamicarbon's urea technology. KBR is presently building a 2,700 mtpd urea plant based on Stamicarbon's pool condenser technology.
KBR offers granulation technology by Hydro Fertilizer Technology (HFT) and by Stamicarbon.
For the process units other than ammonia and urea, KBR can use any technology available for licensing.
