Openhole Logging
Halliburton has the tools and experience to help with any openhole logging challenge. Our services include advanced wireline and drillpipe conveyed logging technology and offer a complete solution encompassing:
   •  Evaluation of fluids and formations
   •  Visualization
   •  Advanced formation testing and sampling
   •  Rock mechanics
   •  Slim hole and hostile well logging
   •  Data acquisition, evaluation and interpretation

Our MRILab® provides a direct measurement of contamination of live oil flowing from the reservoir as it passes into the Reservoir Description Tool (RDT™) sample chamber. The MRILab also provides important real-time, laboratory-quality fluid characteristics, such as gas/oil ratio and viscosity which are significant for completion and reservoir engineering, as well as for reservoir understanding.

Our new X-tended Range Micro Imager (XRMI™) tool is designed to obtain superior quality images even in highly resistive environments. The XRMI tool reduces E&P risks by taking the guesswork out of identifying subsurface sedimentary sequences.

Our MRIL® technology provides cost-effective determination of reserves and producibility and superior reservoir evaluation independent of mineralogy effects. The CAST-V™ service provides complete borehole imaging and more accurate geological visualization.

Our HEAT™ Suite services are built to handle the severe conditions encountered in high-temperature, high-pressure, harsh and slim hole environments and provides industry-leading increased accuracy and reliability of information in hostile well conditions.

Halliburton has been focused on delivering wireline logging products and services in a manner that minimizes unproductive rig time to reduce operating cost. The goal of these recent developments is to minimize the risk of wireline fishing operations and to reduce costs associated with those operations. These developments include:
