URGENT E-MAIL FRAUD ALERT
It has come to our attention that unsolicited communications (by e-mail, fax, and letter) purporting to be sent by Human Resources officials for or on behalf of "Halliburton Energy Services, Ltd." or another Halliburton affiliate are being sent to individuals around the world concerning job opportunities. These communications, with various important-looking subject headings such as "OFFICIAL RESPONSE FROM ______ TRAVEL AGENCY" or "OFFICIAL NOTIFICATION ON YOUR SELECTION", usually claim the individual has been hired, but require advance payment of processing, courier, contract, or documentation fees and charges to a certain travel agency or other local third party, and promise "reimbursement" by Halliburton. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THESE COMMUNICATIONS ARE "ADVANCE FEE" FRAUDS AND ARE NOT SENT FROM HALLIBURTON OR ANY OF ITS SERVICE PROVIDERS. DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY OR PROVIDE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION. We will never require our job applicants and newly-hired employees to pay a fee or advance any money to work at our company. We have not authorized any travel agency or any other local third party to handle any employee documentation. Halliburton and its affiliates are not responsible for any losses or damages resulting from responding to these fraudulent communications.
